We are always on the lookout for more great people to join our team, who share our values!Who you are?We are looking for a Logistics Coordinator, to assist in monitoring our vehicle progress on route, to manage drivers and to execute administrative tasks associated with these responsibilities. This role is specifically focussed on our Container/Skeletal Transport business unit. You are a organised, goal orientated person, who enjoys working in a team and open-space environment. You are comfortable with managing drivers and with receiving load instructions from the Logistics Planners.Your areas of responsibility:

  • Issue loading instructions to drivers and ensure that the correct loading sequence is followed.
  • Monitor the loading progress, ensure that the products are loaded correctly and that the load is secured.
  • Monitor the on-route progress of the vehicles and coordinate any non-conformance with the Logistics Planners.
  • Manage the sleeping points and breaks of drivers, along with any requests pertaining to personal affairs.
  • Coordinate with the off-loading points and clients, to ensure the products are successfully off-loaded and that the client is updated throughout the process.
  • Debrief each driver upon arrival in the depot, verifying that the correct procedures were followed and that their paperwork is up to date.
  • Discuss the drivers on route behaviour with the driver, as well as any personal issues such as leave, off weekends etc.
  • Check the drivers paperwork against the loads to ensure its accuracy.
  • Coordinate with the Debtors Department to submit all paperwork for invoicing to our clients.
  • Responsible for the correct completion of all documentation and processing of data on applicable portal systems for the container industry. This includes:
  • Navis System used to pre-advice containers
  • Securing of time slots at the port
  • Knowledge regarding specific documentation for specific cargo, such as DRO
  • Experience regarding PTI stickers, indicating the container number and the tare weight
  • Correspondence regarding status of stacks namely Form or PROV

Salaries are based on a Total Cost to Company model and includes:
