The purpose of the role is to oversee and manage the creation of various types of content to meet SuperSport Schools goals, engage the target audience, and enhances the brand's visibility

This role will involve delivering a diverse range of assets including video, photography, graphics, audio and other multimedia. The Content Producer (Creative Lead) for our SuperSport Schools Sport Platform will be instrumental in crafting compelling and innovative content that captures the essence and excitement of school sports. This role requires a blend of creative storytelling, technical expertise, and strategic thinking to engage audiences, promote events, and showcase the talents of student-athletes.

Production Process
Actively involved in the long-term visioning process by being available throughout the development phase of the project
Ensure thorough pre-production planning is done resulting in all production elements being completed and available on time.
Prepare production processes which includes contingency plans and creative content guidance to relevant Executive Producer /Senior Producer
Ensure success and failures are reported according to SOP`s to ensure an evolving standard on future productions.
Budget Management- Out
Ensure cost effective use of resources and that the production is within budget.
Keep relevant parties informed of billing requirements
Ensure all programmes meet required technical broadcasting standards and brand image
Content Origination
Ensure content of buildups, inserts and live events meets requirements of the target audience, whilst remaining sensitive to the current political situation as per SuperSport guidelines.
Ensure that Content remains correct and up to date according to relevant sporting body requirements.
Contribute to the development of a comprehensive content strategy, including content calendar planning, audience segmentation, and platform optimization, to maximize reach and engagement.
Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and audience preferences to identify opportunities for innovation and growth in content production.
Conceptualize and produce multimedia content, including videos, graphics, articles, and social media posts, that highlight school sports events, athletes, and achievements.
Develop creative concepts and storylines that resonate with the target audience and align with the brand's messaging and objectives.
Collaborate with the content team to brainstorm ideas, plan shoots, and execute content projects from inception to delivery.
Manage and curate content for the school sport channel's social media platforms, including Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube.
Creative Production
Editing video clips to create engaging highlight reels, player profiles, and promotional videos that capture the excitement of the game.
Storyboard, self-shoot and edit video content to support day-to-day activity and campaigns.
Take briefs, brainstorm solutions, present roughs or visuals, research and manage production.
self-shoot, respond to feedback and deliver final content to teams on time and to budget.
Work with the Content Manager to identify and prioritise content needs and contribute to the creative content strategy.
Collaborate with freelancers and agencies on additional requests where necessary.
Stakeholder Management
Collaborate with the Schools Manager and event organizers to promote upcoming sports events through content marketing initiatives, including teaser videos, event trailers, and behind-the-scenes features.
Showcase sponsor partnerships and collaborations in content projects, such as sponsored videos, branded graphics, and sponsored social media posts.
Work closely with sponsors to integrate their messaging and branding into content in a way that aligns with the channel's objectives and enhances the viewer experience.
Provide updates on content production plans, project timelines, and performance metrics to keep stakeholders informed and involved in the process.
Invite input and feedback from stakeholders when planning content projects, including video shoots, social media campaigns, and promotional activities.
Incorporate suggestions and ideas from stakeholders to ensure that content reflects the values, priorities, and interests of the school community.
Qualifications
A Diploma in Media studies
A Degree in Media Studies will be an advantage
Experience
A minimum of 3-5 Years in production role or similar position
Sound knowledge and understanding of live broadcasting, pre and post-production
Proven experience in other departments in television
Experienced in Broadcast Technology
Experience in multimedia content production, preferably in sports media or digital marketing.
Proficiency in video production, editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro), graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator), and social media platforms.
Strong storytelling skills with the ability to craft compelling narratives across different media formats.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and project management skills.
Passion for sports and a deep understanding of the school sports landscape.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency using design tools such as Capcut, Vectornator and Keynote
