SUMMARY:
A Vacancy exists for a Contract Manager in the Guarding Division based in Port Elizabeth.POSITION INFO:
The suitable candidates main responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

• All PFSO duties and Responsibilities:

• Implementing and exercising the Port Facility Security Plan
• Complete the Declaration of Security on the arrival of Tanker Ships
• Liase with Ship Security Officer
• Conducting an initial comprehensive security survey of the port facility considering the relevant port facility security assessment
• Attend monthly Maritime Security ( MARSECO ) meetings
• Ensuring the development and maintenance of the Port Facility Security Plan
• Implementing and exercising the Port Facility Security Plan
• Undertaking regular security inspections of the Port Facility to ensure the continuation of appropriate security measures
• Enhancing security awareness and vigilance of the Port Facility personnel
• Ensuring adequate training has been provided to personnel responsible for the security of the Port Facility
• Reporting to the relevant authorities (TNPA , SAPS ) and maintaining records of occurrences which threaten the security of the port facility
• Compiling reports and maintenance of records of ALL ships that berth at the allocated Tanker Berth (as per DOT requirements)
• Ensuring that security equipment is properly operated, tested, calibrated, and maintained
• Assisting ship security officers in confirming the identity of those seeking to board the ship when requested

• Ensures compliance to the ISPS Code
• Ensures access to Dom Pedro remains secured and that officers comply with SOPs
• Ensures that officers at the Terminal comply with site specific SOPs
• Assists facility manager with BSSA
• Ensures that Dom Pedro and Terminal seniors comply with the following:

• Officer Deployment
• Attendance and records keeping
• Uniform management
• Training Management
• Toolbox Talks
• Ensures staff are scheduled for annual Fit for duty

assessments * Annual site inductions

• Quarterly training VPSHR
• Ensure that security officer renew PSIRA certification as required
• Ensures Implementation of site security plans dependent on alert levels
• Implementation of contingency plan during various unrests or protests within the demographic
• Investigations following incidents
• Assists with AE BCP and ERP as and when required (facility specific)
• Team Member of the Security Threat and Vulnerability Risk Assessment (SRA) and may be responsible for executing certain gap closures
• Team Member of the annual Baseline Security Self-Assessment (BSSA) and may be responsible for executing certain gap closures

Qualifications Required

• PSIRA Registered
• Grade A
• PFSO training is an advantage (to be facilitated by IMO registered facility when available)
• ISPS training to be attended when an IMO registered facility is made available

Skills & Experience (Desired)

• Managerial experience - 3 years Min as a salary earner (not SD6 only)
• Computer literacy
• Formal Managerial training certification would be advantageous
• Understanding in the following Legal Aspects & Principles

• BCEA - SD6 - Basic Conditions of Employment Act - Sectoral Determination 6
• ISPS & Maritime Law - International Ship and Port Facility Security

• ICOCA - International Code of Conduct for Security Services Association
