Contracts Engineer - Jhb NorthJob SummaryWe are looking for a motivated Contracts Engineer with a strong background in pavement engineering to oversee and manage contracts related to pavement construction and maintenance projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge and experience in pavement materials, construction techniques, and project management. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of our projects while working in a collaborative and supportive environment.Key Responsibilities:Manage all aspects of contracts related to pavement construction and maintenance projects, including contract negotiation, administration, and compliance.Conduct thorough evaluations of project specifications, budgets, and timelines to ensure successful project delivery.Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to develop and implement effective project plans and strategies.Monitor project progress and performance, identifying potential risks and implementing corrective actions as needed.Conduct regular site inspections and quality assessments to ensure compliance with contractual requirements and industry standards.Prepare and maintain accurate documentation, including progress reports, change orders, and project records.Provide technical expertise and guidance to project teams, subcontractors, and vendors as needed.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.Proven experience of 15 years working as a Contracts Engineer, preferably with a focus on pavement projects.In-depth knowledge of pavement materials, construction techniques, and industry best practices.Strong project management skills, with the ability to effectively plan, organize, and prioritize multiple tasks.Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.Professional Engineer (PE) license and/or relevant certifications preferred.
