Job Description


Contracts Manager from construction required for a well-established company based in Gauteng.Minimum requirements:

  • Trade Test - Plumbing or Electrical
  • Wiremans License / PIRB Registration
  • Relevant Degree
  • Minimum 7 years in a site management or similar construction environment role
Responsibilities:
  • Provide weekly and monthly progress reports to stakeholders.
  • Ensure adherence to project timelines by managing resources, including staff, materials, and subcontractors.
  • Oversee material procurement and inventory control.
  • Coordinate with main contractors, engineers, architects, and consultants to resolve project challenges.
  • Assist with tender compilation and understand contract agreements such as JBCC and NEC.
  • Develop procurement strategies and manage subcontractor programs.
  • Monitor project budgets, financial performance, and risk compliance.
  • Ensure quality assurance, safety compliance, and adherence to legal standards (ISO 9001, OHS Act, SANS).
  • Manage industrial relations, staff training, and development to maximize productivity.
  • Lead contract reporting, including financial and progress updates.
  • Ensure proper contractual close-out documentation.
  • Utilize CCS, BuildSmart, MS Office, and MS Projects for project planning and execution.
