Supervise and direct site staff, including site engineers, laborers, and subcontractors, ensuring they follow the construction schedule.
Ensure all construction activities are executed in compliance with site drawings, specifications, and regulatory requirements.
Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure that work meets quality, safety, and environmental standards.
Ensure site health and safety policies and procedures are adhered to, conducting site safety meetings and monitoring on-site hazards.
Contracts Management:
Act as the primary point of contact between the client, the project team, subcontractors, and suppliers.
Manage project contracts from initiation through to completion, ensuring all contractual obligations are met.
Prepare and review contract documentation, including subcontracts, orders, and agreements.
Monitor and control the project budget, identifying any potential risks or cost overruns and implementing corrective measures.
Manage contract disputes or issues as they arise, negotiating solutions with clients, contractors, or suppliers.
Ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials and services in line with project schedules.
Monitor project schedules to ensure milestones and deadlines are met.
Project Coordination:
Coordinate between multiple teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure the smooth progress of the project.
Prepare and update detailed progress reports for clients and senior management.
Monitor the project timeline and ensure all phases of the project are completed on time and within budget.
Manage the construction team and ensure their performance meets quality standards, deadlines, and safety regulations.
Assist with the management of project risks, including addressing delays, resource shortages, or other site-related challenges.
Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain and update site records, including progress reports, site diaries, and health and safety records.
Prepare regular reports for stakeholders, highlighting progress, issues, and potential delays.
Track material usage and ensure effective resource management to avoid project downtime or unnecessary costs.
Requirements:
Education :
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field prefered.
Experience:
Significant experience (X+ years) in site management and/or contracts management within the construction industry, with a proven track record of overseeing large-scale projects.
Leadership Skills :
Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to coordinate teams, contractors, and suppliers effectively.
Technical Knowledge :
In-depth understanding of construction processes, safety regulations, and quality assurance standards.
Project Management Skills :
Experience in managing project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.
Contract Management :
Proven experience with contract negotiations, procurement, and dealing with contractual issues.
Software Skills :
Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, AutoCAD, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Problem-Solving :
Strong analytical and decision-making skills to manage project issues and challenges as they arise.
Health and Safety :
Thorough understanding of health and safety regulations, with relevant certifications
Desirable Qualifications:
Additional construction-related certifications or training (e.g., first aid, advanced health and safety).
