RPO Recruitment is currently partnering with a reputable mining company in the Northern Cape to find a skilled Control Room Operator Surface. As a Control Room Operator Surface, you will play a crucial role in monitoring and controlling surface mining operations to ensure safe and efficient production.Responsibilities

• Monitor real-time data and alarms from various surface mining equipment
• Ensure compliance with safety and operational procedures
• Coordinate and communicate with mining personnel to optimize production processes
• Record and report production data and equipment performance
• Identify and troubleshoot operational issues
• Maintain accurate documentation and logs of all activities
• Collaborate with other operators and supervisors to ensure smooth operations

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Control Room Operator in the mining industry
• Knowledge of surface mining operations and equipment
• Experience with SCADA systems and process control systems
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Attention to detail and ability to multitask
• Flexibility to work different shifts and weekends
• Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations in the mining industry
