Pavago is seeking a highly skilled Controller to join our client's team. This role requires a strong background in full-cycle accounting, financial analysis, and Sage Intact. The ideal candidate should have experience with construction accounting, excellent problem-solving skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage financial data efficiently. This position is best suited for an analytical and detail-oriented professional who can handle financial reporting, balance sheet reconciliations, and oversee month-end closing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Full-Cycle Accounting:

Handle journal entries, payroll, fixed assets, accounts receivable, accounts payable, balance sheet reconciliations, month-end close, and financial statement preparation.

Sage Intaact Management:

Manage financial data from multiple sources and ensure accurate input into Sage Intaact Must be able to quickly learn new financial systems.

Construction Accounting:

Has extensive experience with construction accounting and knows the ins and outs of it.

Financial Analysis:

Conduct financial analysis, evaluate financial performance, and provide data-driven recommendations.

Excel Proficiency:

Utilize advanced Excel skills for financial modelling, reporting, and data management.

Problem-Solving & Analytical Thinking:

Identify financial discrepancies, analyze complex financial data, and implement corrective actions.

Communication & Coordination:

Effectively communicate financial issues and deadlines to team members and management, ensuring employees complete Fyle transactions in a timely manner.

Detail-Oriented Approach:

Maintain accuracy in financial records, ensuring all transactions are properly recorded and reconciled.

Accounting Expertise:

Strong to a very strong background in full-cycle accounting, including payroll, accounts reconciliation, and financial reporting.

Financial Analysis & Problem-Solving:

Strong analytical thinking and financial evaluation skills to drive sound decision-making.

Excel & Data Management:

Proficiency in Excel for financial reporting, modelling, and reconciliation.

Strong Communication Skills:

Ability to clearly communicate financial issues and deadlines while ensuring compliance with financial processes.

Detail-Oriented & Reliable:

Precision in financial reporting and a structured approach to problem-solving.

Required Experience & Skills:

Experience

: 4+ years of experience in financial management, accounting, or controlling roles and experience working with financial platforms and reporting tools.

Knowledge:

Strong knowledge of full-cycle accounting and financial statement preparation.

Software:

Advanced proficiency in Sage Intacct.

Financial Understanding:

Strong financial analysis and problem-solving skills.

Internet:

Reliable internet connection for seamless remote work.

What Does a Typical Day Look Like?

Your day will involve managing financial transactions, overseeing Sage Intacct operations, ensuring accurate reconciliations, and preparing financial statements. You will work on month-end closing, analyze financial reports, and provide strategic recommendations to improve financial efficiency. Additionally, you'll ensure employees complete transactions in a timely manner while maintaining attention to detail and data accuracy.
