Conveyancer - Attorney : Director Level - Law Firm - Sandton

Currently, we are partnering with a reputable boutique African law firm located in Sandton. Renowned for their exceptional client service and expertise in property and real estate matters, our client seeks a highly qualified Conveyancer at Director level to lead their Property and Real Estate department.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage all aspects of the Property and Real Estate department, including but not limited to conveyancing transactions, property development, leasing, and real estate finance.
• Provide strategic direction and guidance to junior lawyers and support staff within the department, fostering a collaborative and high-performance team culture.
• Handle a diverse portfolio of complex conveyancing matters from inception to completion, ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and client requirements.
• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing clients while actively seeking opportunities to expand the firm's client base within the property and real estate sector.
• Stay abreast of industry developments, trends, and best practices to inform decision-making and enhance the firm's competitive edge.
• Represent the firm at networking events, industry conferences, and other professional gatherings to promote the firm's expertise and capabilities.

Requirements:

• Qualified Attorney admitted to practice in South Africa, with a minimum of 5 years' post-admission experience specialising in property law and conveyancing.
• Proven track record of successfully managing a diverse caseload of property and real estate matters within a reputable law firm or legal department.
• Strong leadership and managerial skills with the ability to inspire and mentor junior colleagues to achieve their full potential.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with a client-centric approach to service delivery.
• Sound knowledge of South African property legislation, regulations, and industry practices.
• Demonstrated business development acumen with a knack for cultivating and retaining client relationships.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of effectively prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Membership in relevant professional associations or societies is advantageous.

Qualifications and Experience

• Matric.
• Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree.
• Admission as an Admitted Attorney.
• Admission as a Conveyancer.
• 5 years' post admission experience.
• Experience with Bonds and Transfers.
