Introduction to the VKB Group

The VKB Group is an agricultural company, providing support to farmers and producing straight-from-the farm-foods for consumers. Apart from the various consumer brands, the VKB Group is also represented by its regional brands: VKB, GWK and NTK. Our roots are firmly planted in agriculture with farming at our core, continuously growing and evolving throughout the years.



Starting with providing everything needed on the farm to produce food, we now also operate in all areas of the food supply chain: processing, logistics, and national and global market channels.



This "house of brands" we've established with the support of our farmer shareholders is the foundation for building the agribusiness of the future.

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating strategic internal and external communication and content for various platforms, in line with the company's guidelines and approved tone of voice, which conveys messages accurately, creatively and effectively.

Requirements

The ideal candidate should have the following:

Relevant degree in Marketing and Communication / Corporate Communication / Journalism. Experience in a corporate communication or news environment: 4 - 6 years

Duties and Responsibilities

Create and implement strategic communication projects to support the company's strategy Create creative and captivating content through storytelling for various projects and platforms, including digital and social media, publications, and communications Generate subjects and content for publications and other communication for strategic utilisation on various platforms Provide support for operational/business specific communication and content within the company Manage and curate communication and other platforms, including the company's digital/online presence Support the Head of Corporate Communications to coordinate and utilise subject matter experts and other external content resources Create content to promote the company's image using different media (written and visual) and continuous adherence to the guidelines and tone of voice of the company Effective liaison with Group Marketing and Communications team members to execute tasks at a high level Accurate translation (Afrikaans to English and English to Afrikaans) Accurate proofreading and editing Application of corporate identity in all communication material
