JOB PURPOSETo draft compelling and engaging email messaging targeted toward the Ackermans customer, and to collaborate closing with marketing, design and content teams to ensure effective brand messaging to drive customer engagement and loyalty.EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• 3-5 years' experience working as a copywriter across a range of communication platforms.
• Experience working in a marketing or advertising agency environment.

• Excellent copywriting and writing skills with a keen eye for detail
• Understand the Ackermans brand identity
• Advanced written and verbal communication skills
• A good command of the English language
• Strong understanding of email marketing best practices
• Proficiency in using email marketing platforms
• Creative thinking and ability to generate ideas for email campaigns that drive engagement and conversion
• Proficient in MS-Office Suite
• Excellent planning and time management skills
• Excellent organizational skills
• Strong multi-tasking skills (ability to work on more than one brief)
• Solutions and deadline-driven

• The ability to:

• Write, proofread and edit accurate, concise and highly readable content
• Generate creative ideas, coupled with sound editorial judgement
• Be resilient and work well in a fast-paced environment
• Be proactive
• Work independently as well as part of a team

• A Grade 12 Certificate/Matric
• 3 Year Bachelor's Degree preferably in Marketing, Communication, English or Journalism

• Knowledge of the retail clothing industry is a strong advantage
• Knowledge of conversion focused content, sales funnels and consumer psychology.
