Sandton, Johannesburg: DEBT COUNSELLING CALL CENTRE CONSULTANT
Minimum Requirements:
-Well presented and professional
-Fully bilingual in English and one other local official South African language (Full proficiency in English required – speak, read and write)
-Matric / Grade 12
-Minimum 1 year Debt Counselling working experience a must (Not Debt Collection experience)
-Experience in dealing with consumers and Credit Providers a must
-Must have a good understanding of the FAQs relating to the Debt Review process
-Good working knowledge of MS Excel and e-mail (Maximus proficiency advantageous)
-Ability to work within SLA’s and towards deadlines
-Clear criminal and credit records
-Strong people and communication skills
-Consumer focus, service orientated, detail oriented with the ability to multi-task
-High levels of stress tolerance and resilience
-Energetic, extroverted, confident, and driven personality
-Strong interpersonal and emotional intelligence skills
-Target driven and strong sales ability
-Active listening skills with the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
-Self-motivated, results driven and achievement orientated, persuasive and persistent
-Ability to work unsupervised
-Stable employment record a must (no job hoppers, no unreasonable gaps in employment record, long term employment at previous employers etc.)

Duties:
-Debt Counselling duties for Debt Solutions Company
-Telephonic interaction with clients and potential clients with regards to various products and services relating to debt review and financial wellbeing
-Correspond and liaise with clients, internal stakeholders and third parties
-Receiving inbound calls and making outbound calls to educate consumers as relevant on process and next steps
-Checking validity of Form 16 Applications and supporting documents
-Accurately capture customer information for new application processing and confirm accuracy of any pre-populated information on the DC system
-Knowledge of the Debt Review process and relevant documents from Form 17.1 to Form 19
-Accurately capture and save consumer information, including the actual debt balances from COBs received as well as status, being Form 17.1 to Form 19, on the DC system
-Gathering and chasing certificate of balances (cob) and proposal responses
-Handling both Credit Provider and client queries
-Make outbound calls and/or send e-mails to consumers and Credit Providers to follow up on outstanding documents
-Deal with and/or refer terminations to the DC
-Deal with FAQs across service offerings and the Debt Review process
-Update the consumer and credit provider database where applicable
Salary: R 7 000.00 – R 9 000.00 gross maximum (Depending on Debt Counselling experience)
