Corporate Communications Coordinator - Cape TownFull job descriptionPURPOSE OF ROLEThis role is responsible for assisting with the creation and delivery of a brand and public relations strategy to position the companys brand in the industry market with media and opinion formers to support marketing ROI and business objectives that will assist in obtaining maximum brand leverage (awareness, engagement and conversion). Profiling the Lesedi brand within the organisation and externally. To be the custodian of the brand and standards and ensure adherence across all levels of the business KEY PERFORMANCE AREASExternal Communications ManagementManage all external communication activities with stakeholdersEngage with media for press conferences, statements, and inquiriesMaintain positive brand image through media and opinion leader relationshipsInternal Communications DevelopmentCreate content calendars for internal communication activitiesResponsible for internal campaigns and amplification through internal channelsBrand ManagementSupport the Lesedi brand positioning and communication strategyEnsure brand identity compliance across marketing communicationsMonitor industry trends and provide insights to support business objectivesManage marketing campaign assets and approvalsCoordinate with cross-functional teams and external agenciesQUALIFICATIONCom degree or equivalent Bachelor's degree EXPERIENCEMinimum of 5 years' experience in brand, PR, internal and external communicationsProven experience in the energy, power generation, oil/gas, mining, media, marketing, or industrial industriesRebranding experience is essential KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS COMPETENCIESKnowledge & Skills:Strong writing and communication skillsProficient in budget managementAbility to prioritize and manage diverse marketing and communications topicsHigh learning agility and self-starter mentalityIn-depth understanding of brand, PR, and communication strategiesKnowledge of digital and traditional communication channelsFamiliarity with marketing campaign planning and executionBehaviours and Personal Attributes:Proactive and solution-orientedExcellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skillsAdaptable to changes and challengesCollaborative team playerAttention to detail and deadline-drivenCreativity and strategic thinking
