Our client is looking for a driven individual with strong finance analytical skills for a Analyst position based in South Africa for their African component.The candidate needs understand the finance environment, by having the ability to work in excel and have basic skills to be able to use accounting systems. The position will enable the candidate to expose themselves to all components of finance for the Sub-Saharan region.Roles & Responsibilities as described which will be responsible for financial control of Africa market:

• Provide financial analysis and comments on Africa performance
• Consolidate weekly sales performance for the region
• Assist in monthly reporting and consolidation of performance for the region
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of monthly reporting
• Ensure conformity to group reporting requirements, accounting standards and regional guidelines
• Ensure relevance of monthly and quarterly forecasts considering current trends
• Participate in planning the annual budgeting process
• Review the annual budgets proposed by subsidiaries and highlight main concerns and assumptions
• Prepare Business Plan for new opportunities in Africa
• Evaluate and challenge business plan submitted by subsidiaries
• Responsible to prepare and review Investments performance versus initial business plan
• Support to conduct periodic compliance reviews for Africa
• Ensure the adequacy of financial procedures and controls within the local subsidiaries
• Evaluate the internal controls from subsidiaries and identify the key areas that need to be controlled and improved

Experience and Qualifications:

• A degree in Accountancy or Finance from a recognized university
• With at least 3-5 years of relevant work experience, preferably with regional exposure
• Experience in the media industry will be an added advantage
• You are highly meticulous with developed analytical skills, hands-on, positive attitude and a team player.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills to deal with senior management and stakeholders of different level
