Analyze and report on financial performance against budget, highlighting variances and identifying trends.POSITION INFO:Cost AccountantArea: Bellville, Cape TownSalary: R50000 depending on experience and qualificationsRESPONSIBILITIES:

• Build and improve costing templates documents, and records of the organization.
• Analyze and report on financial performance against budget, highlighting variances and identifying trends.
• Assess actual manufacturing costs and prepare periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs.
• Review standard and actual costs for inaccuracies and report on margins by product and division.
• Assist in the formulation of budgetary and accounting policies.
• Coordinate physical inventory counts and cycle counts.
• Investigate cycle counting variances and resolve issues.
• Update standard costs in the bill of materials.
• Review and analyze inventory and margin reports, conduct research, and perform analytical studies in regards to cost analyses and profitability.
• Support and assist internal department reporting requirements such as audit schedules, tax schedules, and others.
• Ensure timely submission, accuracy, and validity of inventory, gross margin schedules to management.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting,

, or related field. * 3-5 years of experience in cost accounting or related field.

• Proficiency in accounting software and Excel.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in manufacturing and importing costings preferable
