Cost Accountant

This is a dynamic role which will evolve as the project requirements changes so the applicant should be able and willing to adapt from the initial duties and responsibilities. You will report directly to the Financial Manager and work closely the operations teams to ensure the projects operates smoothly.
Minimum Requirements
- Matric
- Relevant Tertiary Qualification
- 3 years experience in a finance environment (preferably within accounting)
- Basic knowledge of accounting
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, Outlook and Word
- Maconomy and Ariba experience (preferable)
- Perform weekly/monthly reconciliations of amounts to be invoiced and follow up on variances
- Prepare and submit weekly/monthly invoicing to client as required
- Perform reconciliations of cash received and do necessary allocation to invoices
- On a monthly basis, follow up of all overdue invoices or any variances on the client account
- Prepare monthly financial reports for management
- Provide finance support to operational teams
