Cost Accountant Manufacturing

We are seeking a highly motivated Cost Accountant to play a pivotal role in our continued success. As the Cost Accountant, you will be integral to the companys financial management, budgeting, and planning processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency to drive their business objectives forward.

Key Qualifications:

• BCom in Finance, specialising in Accounting or Financial Management
• Preferably completed SAICA articles.
• CIMA qualification is highly desired.
• 3-5 years of post-qualification experience in manufacturing.
• Proficiency in X3 Software and advanced Excel skills.
• Strong knowledge of budget development, standard costing, and pricing methodologies.

Key Skills and Experience:

• Implementing robust systems and controls for accurate financial recording.
• Preparation of monthly financial accounts and KPI reports.
• Active participation in the annual budget process.
• Analysing budget variances and reporting to senior management.
• Supporting annual financial audits and compliance efforts.
• Efficient management of inventory processes.
• Experience in RFQ preparation and analysis.
• Maintenance of standard costs and Bill of Materials (BOMs).
• Monthly analysis of standard costing and variance reporting.
• Collaboration with CFO to implement strategic financial objectives.
• Fostering teamwork and innovation within the finance department.
• Recommending tools for improving maintenance efficiency.
• Building a diverse, positive, and purposeful team environment.
