This role is critical to our financial strategy and operational efficiency.Duties:

  • Cost Accounting:Analyse production costs and prepare detailed cost reports to assist management in decision-making.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting:Develop, implement, and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
  • Financial Reporting:Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
  • Variance Analysis:Conduct variance analysis between actual and budgeted costs, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Inventory Management:Oversee inventory valuation, control procedures, and periodic stock takes.
  • Cost Reduction:Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to improve financial performance.
  • Internal Controls:Maintain and enhance internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial data.
  • Collaboration:Work closely with various departments to gather financial information, support business operations, and provide financial guidance.
Job Experience & Skills Required:Qualifications:
  • Matric (Grade 12)
  • BCom in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • BCom Honours
  • Professional accounting certification - CIMA is highly desirable
Experience:
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cost and management accounting, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Skills & Competencies:
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organisational and time-management abilities.
