Costing / Process Engineer
Job Description
RedCat Recruitment is seeking a qualified and experienced COSTING / PROCESS ENGINEER for a well-established concern, position based in Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Grade 12.
Valid Code 08 drivers license / own reliable vehicle.
Strong computer skills (MS Office, Email / Internet). Working knowledge on AutoCAD and Inventor.
Accredited certified qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
Person must have financial background experience.
1-2yrs+ previous working experience in a production / manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of process flows and production processes and drawings.
BOM and routing maintenance.
Use computer software to calculate estimates.
Production cost maintenance.
Evaluate a products cost-effectiveness or profitability.
Assist the project team in tracking over/under billings and taking an active role in reducing under billings.
Recommend ways to make a product more cost effective or profitable.
Develop project plans for the duration of the project.
Identify and quantify cost factors, such as production time, materials, and labour expense factors.
Assist the project team in closing out the project and validate the final revenue before the final bill is submitted.
