Job Description
The Crane Technician is responsible for the maintenance, repair, installation, and troubleshooting of cranes, lifting equipment, and related machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety. This role involves regular inspections, diagnosing technical issues, and performing repairs both on-site and in the workshop.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on cranes and lifting equipment.Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
- Inspect and test cranes and other lifting devices to ensure they meet safety regulations and operational standards.
- Repair or replace defective components, including motors, hoists, cables, and controllers.
- Conduct routine safety checks and ensure equipment is compliant with safety standards.
- Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams to diagnose issues and conduct repairs.
- Install new crane systems and equipment as required.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and parts used.
- Collaborate with team members, supervisors, and clients to ensure project timelines are met.
- Respond to emergency breakdowns and provide support as needed.
