Position Summary The job holder is responsible for appraising Instalment Sale and Loan applications, verifying loan applicants documents in compliance with the companys credit lending policy in order to enhance timely and quality loan bookings to achieve the companys objective. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Enter, update and retrieve information for credit applications. Determining the loan applicants credit worthiness by using his/her income and other financial statements for feasibility of granting instalment credit or loan. Verifying credit application documents to ensure they are complete and accurate as per the companys credit lending policy Analyzing the submitted credit application documents with an objective of establishing their authenticity and accuracy of information obtained from them. Loading and confirming the repayment method instruction with correct applicants details such as ID Number, Bank Account Details and Repayment Amount as per the signed documents for accurate booking of credit. Assessment of erroneous deduction and underpayments of repayments sent to collection department to enhance quality booking and collection. Confer and work hand-in-hand with the sales team to solve non-compliance of credit documents as per the set credit policy. Preparation of daily and cumulative sales report for management to monitor the number of instalment sales/loans done and disbursed within 24 hours. Confirming payment details i.e. clients account number, mobile number on the financial statements in order to avoid wrong disbursement. Checking for fraudulent cases and communicating to the relevant stakeholders in order to take necessary action and avoid future occurrences. Implementing and making necessary adjustments that arise from feedback by collection team such as reduced affordability, change in applicants employment terms to enhance quality loan booking and collection.
Education & Experience Requirements Matric Certificate (minimum requirement) Diploma or Equivalent in Business or a related field (advantage). Two (2) years' relevant working experience in a similar role a Credit Assessor. Technical Competencies Proficiency in MS packages Knowledge of the company products Report writing Knowledge of professional standards. Proficient in English, both written and spoken Behavioural Competencies Communication skills Customer service skills Telephone etiquette Negotiation skills Ability to multi-task Teamwork Ability to work under pressure with minimum supervision Time management.
