Credit Controller Finance

If so, we're looking for a Credit Controller to join the Bloemfontein team!In this critical role, you'll be responsible for the Bloemfontein cash flow, ensuring timely payments and efficient financial operations. You'll wear many hats, from managing customer accounts to assisting with broader financial tasks. You must have 5+ years of experience with retail credit control, a deep understanding of account reconciliations, claims, credit terms, rebates, and the entire credit control cycle and a Matric with Mathematics.Type: PermanentRate: Up to R25k pm including benefitsArea: Bloemfontein (onsite)Here's what you'll do:

• Collections: Be the debt collection, meeting monthly targets and reducing outstanding balances for Bloemfontein customers.
• Problem-solving: Resolve customer queries related to deliveries, returns, rebates, and claims ensuring everyone is happy!
• Communication: Collaborate with warehouse and sales teams to address any credit control issues that may arise.
• Data: Prepare monthly debtor reconciliations and keep a close eye on outstanding account queries.
• Cash Flow Forecast: Generate accurate monthly cash flow and banking forecasts to keep the company financially organized.
• Financials: Process daily receipts, manage aging debtor accounts, and assist with cash book tasks.
• Team Player: Lend a helping hand to our Sales and Logistics departments with their daily financial needs.
• Credit Limits: Work closely with the Regional Credit Manager to monitor credit limits and maintain compliance with Credit Guarantee.
• Application Specialist: Submit new credit term applications and insured limit requests through the Credit Guarantee online system.
• Monthly Processes: Assist with monthly statement processes and ensure smooth year-end closing procedures.
• Financial All-rounder: Provide overall financial administrative support to the Bloemfontein branch as needed.

To be our Credit Control Hero, you'll ideally have:

• 5+ years of experience with retail credit control.
• A deep understanding of account reconciliations, claims, credit terms, rebates, and the entire credit control cycle.
• A Matric with Mathematics (essential). (South African qualification)
• A relevant financial qualification (preferred).
• The ability to thrive under pressure and meet targets consistently.
• Exceptional reconciliation skills.
• Excellent administrative and communication skills.
• A knack for numbers and calculations.
• Intermediate computer literacy in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• A customer-focused approach and a commitment to providing exceptional service.
• A keen eye for detail and a strong focus on accuracy.
• A passion for finance and a knack for managing time effectively.
