Job Description

This high performing and diverse team is responsible for offering credit risk advice, generating reports, and conducting macroeconomic analysis specifically for the product division. The role entails meticulous examination of credit risk, continuous monitoring, and thorough evaluation of counterparties. It mandates the timely delivery of both regular and spontaneous credit risk reports to the credit risk team and various internal and external stakeholders. Precision in both micro and macro-economic analysis, as well as comprehensive data gathering, is essential for creating diverse report types.As the Credit Risk expert, you will be responsible for the following:

• Conducting thorough financial analysis, including organizing financial data, contributing to the assessment of counterparties using internal scoring models, and updating Credit Ratings while guiding credit risk tolerance.
• Regularly providing both scheduled and ad-hoc reports on macroeconomic trends and sector analysis.
• Developing and disseminating customized Credit Risk reports tailored for senior stakeholders within the Global Function.
• Ensuring the accuracy and clarity of Credit Risk data from multiple systems and upholding data integrity across these platforms.
• Contributing to the enhancement of current and new systems, procedures, and reports, such as Potential Future Exposure (PFE) and Cost of Credit.
• Maintaining effective communication with senior management, credit team, and international stakeholders (UK, USA, etc).

Education:

• Completion of a Bachelor's Degree, preferably in finance, risk management, accounting, economics, or business studies.
• Additional postgraduate qualifications in relevant fields would be advantageous.
• Newly qualified CA(SA)s are welcome
• CFA progress and membership will be an advantage

Job requirements:

• Ideally 1-3 years of experience in Credit Risk management
• Prior experience in Financial Analysis would be beneficial
• Proficiency in coding languages such as VBA, PowerBI, and Python would be advantageous
