Closing Date: 2025-03-07Job Type: PermanentJob Level: SkilledExperience: Between 3 - 5 YearsEE/AA: NoSummaryPermanent Opportunity - Cape TownA Leading Financial Services client requires an Credit Risk Underwriter to be responsible for the processing of credit applications.DescriptionProcessing SME credit applicationsAssessing the affordability and payment profiles of applicants, in line with the Banks lending criteriaEvaluating clients financial informationCredit risk underwritingAnalyse all relevant data including credit bureau data, bank statement data etcCompleting all necessary reference checks and establishing credit worthiness of the applicantMinimum RequirementsMatric / Grade 12Diploma, Degree or other suitable Tertiary Qualification3 - 5 years experience in assessing SME Loans/ Unsecured LendingProven credit risk and/or credit underwriting experience preferably within the Financial Services industryHigh level of understanding in credit risk assessment and principles of lendingProficiency in Excel, Microsoft, preferably Sales Force
