Job Description
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Creditors Clerk to join their finance team on a contract basis. If you have a strong background in accounts payable, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment then please see more detail below:Requirements:
- Grade 12 (Further qualifications advantageous)
- 3+ years experience in a similar role
- Previous experience with Oracle (advantageous)
- Strong Excel and computer literacy skills
- Financial and accounting knowledge
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Team player with a positive and self-motivated attitude
- Ensure adherence to supplier policies and procedures
- Verify invoices and statements for compliance with valid documentation standards
- Engage with suppliers to ensure timely receipt of invoices and statements
- Process invoices weekly and maintain accurate records in the system
- Conduct reconciliations accurately and timeously
- Resolve account queries within 30 days
- Maintain an up-to-date aging report with only current transactions
- Assist with onboarding new suppliers and validate documentation
- Support month-end accruals and general ledger allocations
- Assist with yearly audit requirements and ad-hoc financial duties
