Job Description
Red Ember is looking for an inbound Travel Consultant who has experience with quotes and proposals for a local DMC in Cape Town.Duties:
- Tour consultant experience at an intermediate level in an inbound tour-operating environment for a minimum of 3 years.
- Experience with costings and quoting
- Excellent relationship-building and negotiation skills
- Excel experience is an advantage.
- Good product knowledge of Southern Africa.
- Teamwork, and also being autonomous when required.
- Office/administration skills.
- Understanding of on-the-ground operations and excellent quality control.
- Travel Diploma.
- Good English communication verbal and written.
- Build close relationships with Suppliers.
- Rate negotiation and negotiate terms and conditions.
- Booking accommodation, flights, allotments, and all other services as required.
- Prepare Excel costings and re-quotes.
- Ensuring high attention to detail is always maintained.
- Focus on delivery excellence in customer service, internal and external (speed to replies/accuracy/creativity/file handling).
- Assist with Cruise RFPs and proposals as required.
- Create and update tracking documents.
- Adhere to margin strategies as per company policy.
