Now, theyre looking for a sharp, tuned-in Crypto Newsjacking Expert to join their remote team and help turn breaking news into bold opportunities. As the Crypto Newsjacking Expert, youll be the teams radar and rapid responderscanning the crypto, finance, tech, and macro landscapes for newsworthy moments and inserting clients into the conversation at lightning speed. Youll collaborate across media, content, and strategy teams to draft on-brand, attention-grabbing commentary that earns headlines and drives visibility. This is a fast-paced, high-impact role that blends media savvy, real-time thinking, and a deep understanding of Web3 culture. Key Responsibilities Monitor crypto, tech, finance, regulation, and macroeconomic news cycles for breaking developments. Identify and action real-time opportunities for newsjacking on behalf of clients. Write sharp, relevant, and rapid commentary and quotes for client spokespeople. Collaborate with comms and media teams to pitch stories to top-tier journalists and publications. Ensure all messaging is credible, ethical, and aligned with each client's tone of voice and brand values. Prepare reactive assets for known upcoming events (e.g., FOMC decisions, ETH upgrades, ETF rulings). Track media pickup, sentiment, and outcomes to continually improve output.
4+ years in PR, journalism, or communicationspreferably within crypto, fintech, or tech. Excellent understanding of crypto markets, lingo, and digital culture. Exceptional writing skills with a flair for speed, clarity, and punch. Deep media instinctsyou know what makes a story and how to pitch it. Independent, proactive, and comfortable working across time zones. Strong ethical compass; knows the line between timely and tacky. Bonus: Experience with memetic content and social media virality.
