Job Description
To apply academic knowledge to develop the natural science collection at the Natural Science
Museum.
Key Responsibility Areas
- Aligning or defines key programmes priorities with regards to maintaining standards and
- Co-ordinating and controlling tasks/activities associated with controlling personnel
- Conducting research or partners international and local academics during collaborative
- Applying the research methodology to execute data collection or observational studies.
- Analysing, evaluating and making determinations on specific observations relating to
- Validating or confirming the reliability of findings and testing hypothesis.
- Developing and monitoring the execution of applications and procedures associated with
- Disseminating information and knowledge on the natural science field of study.

- Master of Science (NQF Level 9) in Zoology with some relevance to Entomology or Taxonomy
- Registration with SACNASP as Professional Natural Scientist.
- Valid motor vehicle driving license
- 4 Years relevant experience.
- Computer Literacy.
- Doctor of Philosophy (NQF Level 10) specializing in Entomology or Taxonomy or Systematics.
- 5 Years relevant experience.
- Must have published a research paper in scientific journals.
