We are looking for a Customer Insights Associate to join our Customer Insights group, as we scale up and drive digital and financial inclusion across our markets.You can join our journey too.The Customer Insights Team at M-KOPA is part of the wider Product team - and are responsible for ensuring that M-KOPA delivers maximum value to its customers. As Customer Insights Associate, you will be responsible for executing a range of customer insights projects. You will capture the voice of our customers and agents by unearthing customer issues and needs. Your insights will inform business improvement opportunities and innovation.About The RoleAssociates serve as the primary data collection team, collecting qualitative, quantitative, and administrative data. Associates will be expected to be able to understand a research instrument and be able to efficiently and effectively collect data to address the core research question. This is a great opportunity for recent graduates, and anyone interested in research.To achieve this, you will be expected to:

  • Conduct research surveys via phone, SMS, or other platforms
  • Facilitate focus groups and other field research with customers, agents, or prospective customers on key questions and drive insights on these questions
  • Collect data to the highest degree in accordance with the data collection protocols
  • Maintain the confidentiality and dignity of all project participants
  • Transcription of data
  • Translations and back-translations
  • Timely completion of work assigned
  • Provide detailed notes on data collection activities, promptly raising issues and concerns to the Research Operations leads
  • Support field visit logistics for customer and agent shadowing activities
  • Perform any other duty as may be assigned by the Regional Lead.

  • Have extremely strong collaboration, communication, and self-management skills
  • Have previous experience in data collection activities i.e., respondent recruitment/mobilization, respondent interviewing.
  • Can speak local languages
  • Have keen attention to detail
