:

• Ensure that RCG submissions to Customs are meticulously prepared.
• Thoroughly review incoming shipping documents.
• Scrutinize details such as weights, number of pieces, sales terms, and ensure accurate values and invoice numbers.
• Verify that the packing list, invoice, and bill of lading correspond correctly.
• Examine forwarding files and registration files for accuracy.
• Prior to sending documents to the Customs entry department, ensure that all documents are in perfect order, requiring no further corrections.
• Be prepared to assist with entry submissions and file registrations when necessary

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently
• Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance standards

Minimum Educational and Experience Requirements:

• Must have Grade 12, Matric or NQF4 equivalent qualification.
• Freight qualification is advantageous
• Must have clear criminal record.
• Proficiency in computer software such as Microsoft Excel and Word
• Minimum 5 years experience in similar role
• Customs knowledge
• Tariffing knowledge
• Knowledge of ACS Customs System or other Customs Systems
• Knowledge of Customs Entry Processes
• Framing Entries
• Knowledge of Capturing and Framing Export and Import FCLs and LCLs
• Knowledge of Shipping Agency Processes
• Knowledge of SARS Customs Regulations in respect to Exports and Imports
• Ability to respond to SARS Customs queries
• Knowledge of VOCs and Tariff Codes
