Supercharge your career with us and be part of something extraordinary.Why we need youWere on a mission to create extraordinary experiences for our customers, and we believe that your unique skills, passion and superdrive will help us achieve our vision.As a Data Analyst you will work collaboratively with compliance, commercial, data science and data engineering teams to analyse, visualise and explain data to stakeholders at all levels and help achieve business objectives.You must have a strong grasp of mathematical concepts, proven data wrangling experience and the acumen to drive actionable insights through to implementation.What youll be doingDesign, deliver and maintain reporting and monitoring solutions across the entire regulatory space to ensure we are meeting regulatory requirements, including:Know Your Customer (KYC)Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs), Sanctions and Adverse MediaEnhanced Due Diligence / Source of Wealth triggers and journeysAML Risk RatingCustomer Welfare Interaction ProgramsDeveloping and performing reviews based on regulatory and internal requirements including analysis of operational procedures and practicesManage the collection, consolidation and governance of compliance data from multiple sources across multiple locationsAssist the Regulatory Compliance and Internal Audit teams by extracting data and answering ad-hoc requests for information from regulatory bodies or data for the filing of regulatory returnsWork closely with heads of department (AML, Data Protection, Regulatory Compliance, Licensing Operations, Customer Welfare, Betting Integrity) to define key operational metrics and provide regular analysis to help shape our strategies. The work here will be key to empowering the business to react to changes in legislation and support Betway as we expand into new regulated markets.Work with Country Management and the wider Analytics & Insights teams to assess the commercial impact of regulatory initiatives in their markets, helping them to understand and better manage their risks, and ensure a positive customer experienceWork with the Data Science team to help them develop and train AI and machine learning models to mitigate risk to our business and customersThis job description is not intended to be an exhaustive list of responsibilities. You may be required to complete other reasonable duties in order to achieve business objectives.Essential skills youll bring to the tableThe necessary skills that we require for this role include:Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and effectivelyExperience working collaboratively in cross-functional teams, with a focus on achieving shared goalsExpertise in managing multiple projects simultaneously, with a track record of delivering on time and within scopeExceptional attention to detail, ensuring high standards of quality in all outputsAbility to adapt quickly to changing environments and prioritiesEducated to degree level in a scientific or quantitative discipline or have at least 2 years work experience in a business intelligence, analytical or finance role.Demonstrable SQL skills to efficiently query, manipulate and transform large data setsUnderstanding of data warehousing concepts, data modelling, data management and data quality assurance.Experience working with data engineers and architects to define and design datasetsExperience with Tableau, PowerBI or other data visualisation toolsExperience using data to generate insights and demonstrate their value to influence business decisionsDesirable skills youve got up your sleeveIt would be great if you also have some of the following skills:In-depth knowledge of sports betting markets, including odds calculation, betting types and market trendsPrevious experience in the online gaming or other highly regulated industryFamiliarity with gambling regulations and compliance requirements in various jurisdictions, ensuring adherence to legal standardsUnderstanding of AML principles (KYC, PEPs, Sanctions, Adverse Media)Experience with Databricks, Spark, Hadoop or other big data technologiesExperience transforming or analysing data with Python or REnjoy experimenting with data (a data junkie)Our values are non-negotiablesOur culture is underpinned by core values that are linked to key behavioural competencies.
