PetroMan SA (Pty) Ltd has an opportunity at our Head office for a Data Analyst that can provide support to Sishen and Kolomela sites (Kathu and Postmasburg) in the Northern Cape area.Development requirements

• SQL Server 2012-2019 and relational database development experience including:

• ETL (Extraction, Transformation, and Loading)
• Stored Procedures
• Functions
• Triggers
• SQL Queries
• Developing operational reporting systems.
• Developing systems to support operations.

Admin requirements

• Ensuring correct preparation of data for all operations.
• Operations and maintenance of standard, routine queries.
• Operating, maintaining, enhancing and optimizing systems.
• Additional tasks related to data extracts, automated operations and SQL queries as required.
• Assist team members/clients with queries to support both business projects, operational and information needs.
• Troubleshooting any issues on behalf of the User, Client or site Technicians.
• Telephonic and online Software support for the companys Clients and site Technicians.
• Troubleshooting and analysis of data.

• Understanding of data, tables and integration (Nested Queries).
• Creating excel reports.
• Reporting (Excel data extraction).
• Good Network understanding (TCP/IP, Cabling, Wi-Fi, Mikrotik etc.).
• Good Microsoft Windows operations knowledge.
• Good Microsoft Office knowledge.
• Ability to interpret and write SQL Code/scripts.
• Experience of working within an IT environment.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Proven ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
• Professional telephone manner.
• Flexible and mature approach with ability to work unsupervised.
• Fluency in English, both verbal and written as well as ability to converse in Afrikaans.
• (Creative and driven) to improve and expand reporting systems.

Preferred

• Development Experience

• Visual Studio .Net (VB and C#)
• Microsoft SQL Server DBA Skills (3-4 Years Experience).
• Advanced Microsoft Excel Knowledge.
• Advanced Network knowledge (1-2 Years Experience).
• Power BI an advantage.

Qualifications

• Matric / Grade 12
• Degree in Computer Science/ IT preferred. Experience with the following is key:

• SQL Database Administration skills
• MS SQL Server MSSQL 2012+ preferred
• Server OS ,WIN7, WIN10 and WIN11
