All enthusiastic, passionate Data Analysts are called for an exiting opportunity in Software arena (Johannesburg East Rand - South Africa.Job Purpose:The Data Analyst will collect, process, and analyze data to help the organization make informed business decisions. The ideal candidate will be experienced in transforming raw data into meaningful insights using a combination of SQL, Excel, Python/R, and data visualisation tools.Key Responsibilities:Interpret data, analyze trends, and provide actionable insights.Work with stakeholders to identify reporting needs and deliver data solutions.Develop, maintain, and automate dashboards and reports using Power BI, Tableau, or similar.Conduct data profiling, cleansing, and validation.Translate complex data into simple visualizations and narratives for non-technical stakeholders.Build predictive and statistical models when necessary.Ensure data governance, accuracy, and security are upheld.Collaborate with IT and business teams to ensure data integrity across systems.Qualifications and Experience:Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or related field.Minimum 5 years of experience in a data analysis, business intelligence, or related role.Advanced Excel and SQL skills.Proficiency in data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.).Experience with Python, R, or SAS for statistical analysis is advantageous.Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and tools.Strong understanding of database structures and data modelling.Skills and Competencies:Analytical Thinking: Ability to analyze data, identify patterns, and draw conclusions.Communication: Ability to present insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders.Technical Proficiency: Strong with SQL, Excel, and data viz platforms.Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in data analysis and reporting.Business Acumen: Understanding of how data impacts business decision-making.Problem-Solving: Ability to approach complex problems creatively and logically.Advantageous Certifications:Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate (Power BI)Google Data Analytics Professional CertificateInterested applicants to please submit CV's to: recruitment@omnitelltech.com.
