SUMMARY:
Data Analyst - Johannesburg - R750k to R950k per annumPOSITION INFO:A group with an inhouse system that runs all their businesses from Life Insurance to Unit Trusts including bringing Impact Farming to Utilities Management. This modern and versatile system is their pride and secret sauce of their success has an opening for an Intermediate Data Analyst who will be responsible for interpreting data and turning it into information which can offer ways to improve a business, thus affecting business decisions. Required to gather information from various sources and interpret patterns and trends and deliver to end user accurately, timeously and in an understandable formatResponsibilities:

• Execute on the data visualisation and reporting strategy, policy and processes
• Develop and design reports in a timely manner and aligned to the stakeholder requirements
• Transfer of knowledge and understanding of designed reports to the end user
• Interpret data, analyse results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports
• Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality
• Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems
• Identify, analyse, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
• Filter and clean data by reviewing computer reports, printouts, and performance
• Utilise specialist knowledge to explain the data and transfer the understanding to business end user.
• Communication to stakeholders to keep them abreast of current developments within the function and to manage expectations

Qualifications and Experience:

• 3-year related degree (In a quantitative field ie: Data,

, Economics etc) Post qualification (advantageous) * 3-7 years experience in Data analytics.

• A high level of mathematical ability and experience in SQL and Python.
• Experience using Tableau
