Data Architect - Hybrid - R1mil to R1.2 mil per annumA South African Bank whose object is to protect the value of the currency in the interest of balanced and sustainable economic growth in the Republic and its primary objective is to perform its functions independently and without fear, favour or prejudice have an open vacancy for a Technical (Data) Architect that is required to architect, design, and build a highly scalable SaaS offering that is customer-facing and adheres to SOC and ISO 27001 compliance standards.Responsibilities:

• Understand, architect and be the lead (and first) developer of the solution, including choices around the tech stack
• Work with the business owners and customers on the specific needs analysis
• Be responsible for all aspects of the SDLC, CI/CD, automated testing and compliance standards
• Recruit and build a team of talented and highly-skilled developers to join you on this mission
• Experience in writing testable code including unit tests and integration tests as well as working with a dedicated testing team.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Degree/Diploma in Engineering or Software Engineering with solid experience in data architecture
• At least 7 years of experience in designing and developing a data platform.
• A solid track record in delivering high-quality software within an agile team environment.
• Experience building or working on a data platform in a SaaS environment.
• Comprehensive experience using Python, C#/.NET in the context of data pipelines and API development.
• Comprehensive working knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript. You have also worked with a modern framework, e.g. Angular, React, Vue, etc. We use Angular so you should at least be familiar with its concepts.
• Experience in the telecoms industry (advantageous)
• Dashboard and report design and development experience (Power BI, Superset, SSRS) (advantageous)
• Exposure or experience running workloads on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or GCP). (advantageous)
