Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with project teams to engage clients and consultant teams effectively.
• Support projects during the tender process as a solution engineer or part of the solutions team.
• Develop local resources to bolster the DC facility business.
• Promote and present Huawei DC solutions while managing client relationships.
• Integrate design requirements from various stakeholders to compile bid High-Level Designs (HLD), encompassing structure design, architecture design, and coordination.
• Compile structure design and architecture design RFPs.
• Develop and maintain concept scheme designs, prototype designs, and template specifications for main buildings.
• Summarize project costs and generate valuation models, leading initiatives to enhance cost, quality, schedule, and consistency.
• Manage the work of external design consultants.
• Provide comprehensive support for project management, subcontractor selection and management, and procurement.

Qualifications/Experience:

• Matric (Grade 12) qualification required.
• Degree in structure or Architecture essential.
• Professional registration preferred.
• IT/ICT or business-related qualification advantageous.
• Minimum 5 years'' structure or Architecture design experience, preferably in data center projects.
• Minimum 5 years'' experience in a consulting engineering firm.
• Minimum 2 large-scale (10,000 square meters or more) Data Center project design or build experience.
• In-depth knowledge of structure and Architecture design for buildings.
• Strong awareness of local codes and standards.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, Revit, and industry-standard modeling software.
• Experience with vendor and consultant management.
• Ability to think innovatively to find cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.
• Proficiency in building codes, regulations, and standards across the Southern Africa region.
• Excellent communication skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and travel internationally as needed.
