Job Overview:We are looking for a skilled Data Center Technician with expertise in hardware troubleshooting, physical network setup, and strong communication skills. You will play a critical role in supporting global field deployments, maintaining server fleet health, and ensuring seamless network operations.Requirements1. Hardware Troubleshooting:

• Expert-level knowledge of server hardware with a focus on diagnosing component and system failures.
• Proven experience in root cause analysis (RCA) or failure analysis, conducting controlled experiments to identify issues.
• Collaborate with internal engineering teams and customers to resolve field issues through:

• Controlled testing of hardware, systems, or firmware.
• Providing proactive and reactive support during global field deployments.
• Offering training for new product introductions to site leads and technicians.
• Assisting field technicians in real-time to resolve both known and unknown issues.
• Track server fleet health to identify trends and unknown issues while ensuring Service Level Agreement (SLA) compliance.
• Utilize Linux and Windows Command-Line to troubleshoot and resolve hardware-related issues.

2. Physical Network Setup:

• Troubleshoot network issues across Layer-1, Layer-2, and Layer-3.
• Set up, clean, and manage cables, ensuring proper labeling and organization.
• Assist network administrators with switch setups, confirm physical and virtual connections, trace cables, and update port maps.

3. Communication and Teamwork:

• Coordinate pre-work meetings to clarify requirements, equipment, and expectations, ensuring all parties are aligned.
• Provide daily status updates to internal and external stakeholders.
• Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs), knowledge articles, and technical guides to support field activities.
• Train teams on new technical processes, tools, and troubleshooting methods.
• Deliver accurate and detailed feedback to engineering teams on hardware performance, server serviceability, and data center integration.
• Conduct thorough pre- and post-project follow-up for successful execution.

What Were Looking For:

• Minimum 3-5+ years of experience as a Data Center Technician or in a similar role working on server hardware and network troubleshooting.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift items weighing up to 50lbs independently or in partnership for items over 50lbs.
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a geographically dispersed team.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in a data center environment.
• CCNA certification.
• MCP/MSCE certification.
• Scripting experience in PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
