Our client, an engineering firm that operates nationally, is recruiting for a skilled Data Engineer and Analyst.Data Engineer and Analyst
Cape Town, Remote
2-Year ContractQualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Electronic Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or related
- More than 2 years of experience
- Strong analytical abilities with familiarity in data analysis tools like Pandas and NumPy
- Experience working with ETL tools and processes
- Solid understanding of business processes and financial systems
- Proficient in SQL with hands-on experience using automation tools like Power BI or Tableau
- Skilled in using web scraping tools such as BeautifulSoup and Scrapy, along with experience in ETL processes
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office and Excel
- Design and manage data infrastructure while conducting analyses to drive informed business decisions
- Import and query data using SQL
- Develop and maintain automated reports and dashboards
- Enhance business processes through technical solutions
- Leverage knowledge of financial systems to improve reporting accuracy
- Write clear and concise reports
- Perform database administration and ensure data integrity
- Analyse and resolve data discrepancies
- Conduct inspections, participate in meetings, and engage in testing and design reviews
- Develop and maintain web crawlers for data extraction
- Extract, clean, and analyse web data to identify trends and insights
- Design and implement ETL processes to consolidate and integrate data from various sources
- Handle ad-hoc tasks as needed
