Role PurposeEffective execution of data analysis, maintaining data integrity specialized business reporting and improving overall client experience.
RequirementsExperience and Qualifications

  • Matric or related qualification.
  • 3 - 5 Years experience in group insurance disability claims administration (pre-requisite).
  • Knowledge and understanding of group insurance disability claims administration products, services, and processes.
  • Advanced Excel proficiency.
  • Experience with Orbit Portal & Quantum will be an advantage.
Duties & ResponsibilitiesInternal Processes
  • Conduct monthly data quality audits and analysis of the entire annuity book.
  • Identify any data or process inconsistencies, system limitations, and staff training needs.
  • Conduct special reporting for various stakeholders (Clients, Disability Management, Finance, Compliance, Risk Management & Senior Management).
  • Respond to data related queries received from various stakeholders (Clients, Disability Management, Finance, Compliance, Risk Management & Senior Management).
  • Support staff with any technical type of client queries.
  • Provide peer to peer training & coaching where required.
  • Document all administration processes and collaborate with Learning & Development to draft learner guides and roll out relevant training.
  • Complete gap and process analysis and implement necessary corrective measures.
  • Represent the disability area for any system enhancements and provide input for quarterly IT development priorities.
  • Active participation and management of multiple projects assigned by management and various internal stakeholders.
  • Monthly Home Affairs run via external vendor.
  • Annual DR Testing support.
  • Ensure that the necessary risk management controls are in place.
  • Responsible for supporting audit activities for both our internal and external auditors. Facilitate audits by providing processes, addressing findings with management consultation, and ensuring resolution and prevention measures.
  • Liaise with various external and internal stakeholders.
  • Check, update and report on daily, monthly and quarterly system reports.
  • Monthly reconciliation of disability payments (bulk variance check).
  • Facilitate the allocation of third-party payment schedules.
  • Facility annual bulk system updates (ex. Medical Aid contribution changes, benefit escalations).
  • Compile and calculate annual fee payments.
  • Compile and calculate annual benefit increases (for specific clients and benefits).
Client Services
  • Provide factual, logical, expertise and recommendations to clients and stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, internal and external stakeholders.
  • Deliver on service-level agreements with all stakeholders to ensure that client expectations are met and managed.
