Job Description

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Data Science with a strong focus on physics and mathematics
• Demonstrated proficiency in advanced mathematics, including calculus, linear algebra, and statistics
• Solid understanding of physics principles and their applications in computing and data analysis
• Minimum of 5-7 years of hands-on experience in IT roles
• Extensive knowledge of core IT concepts, including networking, operating systems, databases, and cybersecurity
• Strong experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages, with a preference for those used in scientific computing (e.g., Python, R, MATLAB)
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical and mathematical concepts to diverse audiences
• Experience applying physics and math concepts to IT and data challenges
• Relevant IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA, Cisco, Microsoft) are highly valued
• Oracle Database

Responsibilities:

• Provide expert-level support and guidance on IT systems, infrastructure, and best practices
• Apply advanced mathematical and physics concepts to solve complex IT and data-related problems
• Contribute to the design, implementation, and maintenance of sophisticated IT solutions
• Mentor junior team members, particularly in areas requiring strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Conduct occasional knowledge-sharing sessions on relevant IT, physics, or math topics
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align IT strategies with business objectives
• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends
• Assist in developing documentation and technical materials as needed
