If so, join our team at one of South Africa's leading banks as a Data Warehouse Developer.Key Responsibilities: * Develop and maintain data warehouse components on Teradata warehouse, adhering to the principles of third normal form (3NF).

• Design and implement efficient data models on Teradata to support reporting and analytics requirements.
• Utilize PowerBI to create interactive dashboards and visualizations that provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with business users and data analysts to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Ensure compliance with all data governance policies and procedures, including documenting data definitions, business glossaries, and obtaining approval for data models.
• Work with various data sources, including MSSQL, Hive, and data APIs, to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data into the data warehouse.
• Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies in data warehousing, business intelligence, and data governance.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to users as needed.
• Continuously monitor and optimize the performance of data warehouse queries and processes.
• Bonus: Experience with Ab Initio will be highly valued and may involve additional responsibilities related to ETL development.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Solid experience working with Teradata, PowerBI, MSSQL, Hive, and data APIs.
• Proven track record of designing and implementing data warehouse solutions.
• Strong understanding of data modeling concepts and techniques, preferably with experience in 3NF.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels.
• Familiarity with data governance principles and practices.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Problem-solving mindset and a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.
