KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:xc2xb7 Design and implement database systems that are efficient, reliable, and secure.xc2xb7 Develop and maintain data models, database schemas, and database objects.xc2xb7 Configure and maintain database software and hardware, including upgrades and patches.xc2xb7 Develop and implement data backup and recovery plans.xc2xb7 Monitor and optimize database performance, identifying and resolving issues that impact system availability or performance.xc2xb7 Implement access controls and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.xc2xb7 Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues, including data corruption and connectivity problems.xc2xb7 Provide technical support and guidance to users, including training on database systems and answering questions related to data access and usage.xc2xb7 Collaborate with other teams to ensure that database systems meet the needs of the business.xc2xb7 Stay up to date with emerging trends and technologies in database engineering and related fields.KEY MEASURABLES:xc2xb7 Development and support hours managed (Budgeted, quoted, and non-Billable).xc2xb7 Technical proficiency shown in: Custom solutions, Troubleshooting, Bug, and data fixes.xc2xb7 Report progress to management and Account Manager (Timeline; sprint and to do list items).xc2xb7 Quality of implemented solutions (Data structure, testing, reporting).xc2xb7 Monitoring and updating databases to ensure optimized performance.xc2xb7 Management support, effective teamwork, and communication.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES:xc2xb7 Strong understanding of database concepts and principles.xc2xb7 Proficiency in SQL programming and scripting languages.xc2xb7 Experience with database software, such as DBflex, MySQL, or Oracle.xc2xb7 Experience with database design and data modelling.xc2xb7 Knowledge of database backup and recovery strategies.xc2xb7 Understanding of database security and compliance requirements.xc2xb7 Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.xc2xb7 Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.xc2xb7 Internal training will be provided.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:xc2xb7 Bachelors degree in Computer Science or higher, Information Systems, Software Development, Data Analytics, or related fields.SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:xc2xb7 Must be able to work in a hybrid work environment and as part of a dynamic team of young Engineers and Account Managers.xc2xb7 Must be able to assist customers at inconvenient times.
