This position is responsible to To supervise and lead team to ensure cost effective debriefing process and managing warehouse damages in line with company standards and requirements.

Key OutputsJob Objectives
1. To support good financial controls and customer relations by supervising the team responsible
for the daily execution of processes relating to:
o Receiving claims, PODs, DRNs and Upliftments from customers as well as pallet
documentation
o Processing the same to support finance to process credits and claims correctly
o Handing relevant documentation to the pallet controller
o Preventing stock losses by checking stock returned against documentation collated
o Receive and categorise the stock in line with procedures
o Weighing returned stock and compare against the claims
o Reporting any anomalies relating to claims to the warehouse manager to resolve
o Supervise the decanting of returns and reworks
o Supervise transfer of saleable goods back into the warehouse
o Load sweepings and process invoicing of sweepings.
2. To ensure effective health, safety, environmental and risk management as well as
compliance by:
o Train on SOPs and perform on job observations
o Discuss issues in the Invocom to ensure awareness and understanding
o Checking correct implementation of HSER policies, procedures and practices
o implementing waste and loss control practices
o ensuring legal compliance/ best practices through supervising team to ensure safe work
practices and good housekeeping
3. To ensure continuous improvement of the debriefing process and team performance through:
o Supporting Warehouse manager to create a culture of learning and continuous
improvement in the Invocom
o Tracking performance against target
o identifying areas needing cost reduction, improvement or corrective action
o adherence to all management SOPs and controls,
o managing resourcing schedules, shift rosters and overtime costs.
o Support data gathering for root cause analysis when needed
o Implements and monitors corrective action with team
o Gather improvement suggestions and raise via Invocom.
4. To support plant asset management through routine checking of assets and reporting any
noncompliance / issues to the Warehouse manager for resolution.
5. To ensure compliance and adherence to the requirements of Premier Food Safety standards,
policies and procedures through:
a. Training team on operational guidelines & good housekeeping practicesEnsure high performing team by:
a. building and motivating capability through competency-based selection
b. training and development, coaching and performance management
c. effective communications
d. leading and participating in Invocoms/ meetings as needed
e. ensuring good discipline and accountability
f. establishing good working relationships with union representatives
g. ensuring a conducive and safe working environment according to the Premier wayTo complete training and development and stand in for any of the Warehouse Supervisors as
needed to build capacity in the succession pipeline for this role. This includes supporting the
facilitation of the Invocom if neededb. Monitoring daily cleaning processes and practices
c. ongoing the management of damages, short dated and near dated goods
d. planned and effective infestation controls
e. participating in internal and external audits and corrective actioning
