Job Description


Our client in the Hospitability industry is currently looking for a Deli Restaurant & Coffee Shop Manager, Sea Point, Cape Town.Responsibilities:

  • The manager will be responsible for day-to-day operations, team leadership, and ensuring that the deli and coffee shop maintain the highest standards in line with the hotelxe2x80x99s luxury brand.
  • To oversee the operations of an exclusive deli and coffee shop situated within our prestigious 5-star hotel.
  • Operational Management: Oversee daily operations of the deli and coffee shop, including staffing, scheduling, and product ordering to maintain optimal efficiency and high-quality standards.
  • Guest Experience: Ensure every guest receives an exceptional experience, delivering personalized and attentive service that reflects the hotel's 5-star status.
  • Menu Development: Collaborate with culinary and beverage teams to curate unique, seasonal offerings that align with both the hotelxe2x80x99s identity and guest preferences.
  • Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and develop a highly skilled team committed to delivering exceptional service and maintaining a high level of operational excellence.
  • Financial Oversight: Manage budgets, monitor costs, and drive profitability, ensuring optimal inventory levels, minimizing waste, and meeting revenue targets.
  • Brand Alignment: Ensure the deli and coffee shop's offerings reflect the luxury image of the hotel, adhering to high standards of presentation and quality in food, beverages, and service.
  • Customer Relations: Handle guest feedback, resolve complaints effectively, and continuously seek ways to improve the guest experience.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure the deli and coffee shop adhere to local health regulations and hotel standards for cleanliness and safety.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience managing high-end coffee shops, delis, or boutique F&B outlets, preferably within 5-star luxury hotels or resorts.
  • Proven ability to deliver outstanding customer service in a fast-paced, high-expectation environment.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, P&L statements, and inventory control.
  • Excellent leadership skills with experience in team training, development, and performance management.
  • Deep understanding of coffee culture, artisanal foods, and premium products.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations in food and beverage operations.
  • Preferred Attributes:
  • Experience working within a 5-star hotel environment.
  • Passionate about coffee and food trends, with a creative mindset for menu innovation.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
Remuneration:
  • Up to R22 500 per month including company benefits.
