Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled HPCSA Registered Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will provide chairside assistance to our dental professionals in delivering exceptional patient care. As an integral part of our team, you will ensure smooth patient flow and uphold high standards of infection control and sterilization procedures.Key Responsibilities:
- Assist dentists and hygienists during dental procedures by handing them instruments and anticipating their needs.
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations, keeping them clean and organized.
- Take and record patient dental histories and vital signs.
- Process dental x-rays and complete lab tasks under the direction of the dentist.
- Instruct patients on postoperative and general oral healthcare.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Perform infection control procedures, including sterilization of instruments and disinfecting treatment rooms.
- Schedule patient appointments and manage the patient recall system efficiently.
- Educate patients on dental procedures, oral hygiene techniques, and preventive care.
- Collaborate with dental team members to deliver a seamless patient experience.
