The Department of Agriculture, Western Cape Government has an opportunity for a suitably qualified and competent individual to conduct strategic research and develop key documents of strategy relevance for the Department of Agriculture.
Minimum RequirementsPost graduate Degree in Economics, Agricultural Economics, Development Planning or Planning; A minimum of 5 years management level experience in the development of governement statutory documents as well as in government monitoring and reporting; A valid driving license (Code B or higher).
RecommendationExperience of working in a government environment.
Key Performance AreasConduct strategic research relevance to the Western Cape Agriculture Sector; Develop and annually review the Department's strategic planning documents (Departmental Strategic Plan {SP} and Annual Performance Plan {APP}). Coordinate the Department's contribution to Provincial Strategic Processes; Perform management, administrative and related functions.

RemunerationAll-inclusive salary package of R 849 702 per annum (Salary level 11) Note on remuneration: Service benefits or obligations for qualifying employees (medical assistance, housing assistance, pension-fund contributions, etc) are funded or co-funded in terms of the applicable prescripts or collective agreements.
