Role PurposeManaging and protecting information that is confidential and private, ensuring that organisations comply with the relevant Privacy Acts and other related regulations.
RequirementsBachelorxe2x80x99s degree in law, public policy, or a related field.At least 5 years of experience in privacy compliance or a related field.Strong knowledge of data privacy laws and regulations, such as GDPR and CCPA.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Certification in privacy management or compliance, such as CIPP or CIPM, is preferred.
Duties & ResponsibilitiesDraft, review and analyse policies related to personal information handling.Create and manage training programs for staff on privacy laws and information handling procedures.Conduct audits to ensure compliance with privacy laws and regulations.Respond to privacy-related enquiries from the public and staff.Manage incident reporting and response procedures for data breaches and other privacy violations.Reporting incidents and breaches to the relevant authorities.Work with legal teams to identify and address privacy risks.Review legal agreements to ensure they comply with relevant privacy laws.Develop and implement privacy policies and procedures for business and operators.Monitor and assess changes in privacy laws and regulatory requirements.Identify and assess privacy risks associated with new technologies and applications.Collaborate with other departments and agencies on privacy-related issues and concerns.Legal opinions on privacy related mattersParticipation in working groups for drafting of Code of Conduct, guidelines and other relevant industry requirements.Assist businesses with gap analysis and recommendationsInvestigate current business processes to determine gaps
