PermanentPlease note if you are an internal employee on a fixed term contract please apply using an external candidate profile and not your employee profileMAIN PURPOSE OF JOBTo support the Nursing Manager in leading and coordinating safe, quality patient care.KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREASSupport the Nursing Manager to achieve quality patient care in line with the hospital operational goals and objectivesManage patient risks to achieve patient safety in line with specified clinical outcomesEnsure a positive patient experience in line with corporate benchmarksEnsure optimal utilisation of a competent and engaged workforce and other resources in line with the relevant company guidelinesLead and manage direct reportsEstablish and manage key stakeholder relationships to achieve integrated patient care and positive clinical outcomesREQUIRED EDUCATIONESSENTIAL EDUCATION: Degree/diploma in nursing, Appropriate leadership/management qualificationDESIRED EDUCATION: Discipline-specific qualificationREQUIRED EXPERIENCEESSENTIAL MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 5 years experience in a supervisory position, e.g. Unit ManagerDESIRED EXPERIENCE: 2 - 3 years experience in Unit Manager position ,specialized in the following disciplines ,Endoscopy, Electrophysiology and CathlabREQUIRED JOB SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

• Infection prevention and control
• Knowledge of continuous improvement and quality assurance methodologies
• Productivity management in nursing
• Clinical risk management
• Healthcare industry
• Computer literate (Microsoft Office)
• Financial management
• Nursing functional knowledge
• Relevant nursing legislation
• Knowledge and experience in auditing and accreditation processes
• Patient complaint management
• Human resource processes including employee relations
