Design Engineer
Job Description
Bottom of FormDesign and develop moulds for the manufacturing of rigid plastic products
Oversee projects from initial concept through to industrialization
Create component designs based on project briefs, advising on material selection and functionality
Manage mould trials and provide detailed instructions and support to trial staff
Assist in sourcing mould components and materials
Work closely with toolmakers throughout the entire mould manufacturing process
Maintain and update the mould and drawing database regularly
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to components and moulds
Lead or support technical projects aimed at improving toolroom processes and production efficiency
Initiate and actively participate in various projects to enhance operational performanceSkills & Experience:
Proven experience in mould design, particularly within a Toolroom environment
Proficiency in using SolidWorks for design and modelling
In-depth knowledge of both blow moulding and injection moulding processesMinimum requirements
Grade 12
Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering or Industrial EngineeringOnly South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered.Contact CHANE DIPPENAAR on
