Design Engineer (Civil/Structural)
Our company is seeking to appoint a qualified design engineer (civil/structural) who is a registered PrEng and has at least 5 years as a Professional Engineer (PrEng), good experience in infrastructure design (necessary) and building design. The CTC package would be between R50k-R80k per month + 13th cheque.This is a permanent position, which will be based at Umhlanga office.
Company will provide a more detailed spec in due course but for now the key requirements are:

• Must have registered Pr Eng experience of at least 5 years as a PrEng
• Must have proven design, contract administration and project management capability
• Must be able to take the project from the Concept (Stage 1), through to Close-out (Stages 5 & 6).

Design and project management experience must be in both civil engineering (infrastructure xe2x80x93 water, stormwater, sanitation, earthworks)xe2x80xa6and structural engineering (design for structures xe2x80x93 buildings, including multi-storey building.
Qualifications and relevant registrations in xe2x80x9cProject managementxe2x80x9d are an advantage.Need to be proficient at use of engineering design software including, Prokon or related structural engineering software, BIM Revit, AutoCAD, Civilsoft(for Bills of Quantities), Modelmaker, MS ProjectS and MS Office, be very familiar with spreadsheets/Excel , and have relevant experience with oversight of infrastructure and building projects.A valid drivers license and willingness to travel within KZN is essential. This is not necessarily an EE position nor is gender a key issue. They will be working with a team of different professionals in our office xe2x80x93 Architect, Senior Civil Engineer (Director), Town Planner, Site agents and be based at our Umhlanga Office. They need to be comfortable with working independently and with a small team/company xe2x80x93 and willing to take professional responsibility for work and project management. Our projects are mostly public sector developments like clinics, hospitals, student accommodation, community centres, office buildings, etc. so experience with the public sector processes is an advantage but not a prerequisite.Remuneration: R 50 000 xe2x80x93 R 80 000A Consultant will be in touch if you are shortlisted for the position.
